I cannot help but sit and ponder what the residents all across Japan are enduring throughout the aftermath of a disaster of this magnitude. The shape of their country will literally and figuratively be altered forever. My heart hurts for them and my prayers are with them. My mind will not allow me to conceive any notion other than compassion and concern for these individuals. My Grandfather is a WWII vet who is still alive and was almost killed fighting the Japanese. As I have fought individuals and later had compassion for them and become friends, my blood is my Grandfather's blood, and I know he feels the same as I. The people of Japan are wonderful people who have a lot to admire and offer the world. Please keep them in your heart and mind as they struggle to understand and endure what has happened to them.
